Sarah Sings Phyllis in 3 Lost Songs from Gilbert & Sullivan's 'Iolanthe'
In May of 2026, Gilbert & Sullivan researcher and expert Marc Shepherd located three previously lost songs from G&S' hit show Iolanthe. These three numbers were cut from the original 1882 show and presumed lost to history. Marc found them in the back of a misfiled copyist's score in the archives of the British Library. He then created modern digital scores and made them available to the public. Utopia Opera under the direction of William Remmers made a modern film recording of these 3 Lost Songs. Sarah Moulton Faux sings Phyllis.
"On you they'd set a coronet" (a quartet for Lord Chancellor, Lord Tolloller, Lord Mountararat, Phyllis, and Chorus of Peers)
"My love for him is dead" (a solo for Phyllis)
"De Belville was regarded as the Crichton of his age" (a solo for Mountararat)
