Soprano Sarah Moulton Faux will perform as “Anna”  in the New York premiere of The Post Office at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, running May 16–21, 2026. Produced by American Opera Projects, the opera features music by Laura Kaminsky, libretto by poet Elaine Sexton, set design by Charles Renfro and direction by Kevin Newbury.

The Post Office follows the ghost of Benjamin Franklin, the first U.S. Postmaster General, as he is drawn into a thoroughly contemporary conflict among co-workers in a one-room post office — a provocative exploration of gay marriage, free speech, racial and class divides, and democracy itself. The production features a cast of five singers and piano.
