Award-winning soprano Sarah Moulton Faux has recently been honored with two major national distinctions recognizing both her artistic excellence and her leadership in the field of opera.
In 2022, Faux received the American Prize – Ernst Bacon Memorial Award for her acclaimed debut album, Where Should This Music Be? Songs of Lola Williams, produced by Grammy-winning producer Judith Sherman and released on New World Records. The recording has been praised for its expressive depth and its vital contribution to expanding the art song canon.
In 2023, Faux was awarded the OPERA America National Opera Trustee Recognition Award for her outstanding leadership and service as Co-President of the Board of Directors of American Opera Projects, one of the country’s leading opera development organizations. The award recognizes her significant impact in advancing new opera and supporting the next generation of composers and artists.
